Shilpa Shetty is going places

Shilpa Shetty’s performance for the Miss Bollywood series, last night at Royal Albert Hall in London was a complete sell-out. It was her 60th performance of the same series. However, the icing on the cake is the musical has been given an extension, and brothers Ali and Mohammed Morani will direct another 140 shows of Miss Bollywood, with Shilpa in the lead. The show, in its extension, will be staged mainly in Europe and UK. A source says, “Shilpa met the Moranis and the deal was finalised a few days back.” Miss Bollywood is a musical, set in behind-the-scenes of Bollywood world. It tells the story of the struggles of a young choreographer (played by Shilpa) who must stand up for herself against more experienced members of the industry. It is set against the backdrop of London, as the city prepares for the 2012 Olympics. Miss Bollywood is written by Niranjan Iyengar and directed by the Morani Brothers. Confirming the extended run of Miss Bollywood, Mohammed Morani (of Cineyug) says, “Yes, we are doing about 140 more episodes of Miss Bollywood with Shilpa. We are very happy with the response to the show.”
